OVER BIG THREE

UPN to Rebroadcast AMISH IN THE CITY Premiere Tomorrow, Friday, July 30

The series premiere of AMISH IN THE CITY led UPN to a second place finish from 8:00-10:00PM on Wednesday, ahead of the Big Three, in persons 12-34 (2.2/8), adults 18-34 (2.3/8), adults 18-49 (2.5/8) and all key male and female demographics, including females 12-34 (2.7/9), women 18-34 (2.8/9), women 18-49 (3.0/9-tie), males 12-34 (1.7/7), men 18-34 (1.9/7), men 18-49 (1.9/6), according to Nielsen national ratings for July 28.

Additionally, UPN ranked first from 8:00-10:00PM among adults 25-54 (2.5/7) (tied with CBS and FOX) and women 25-54 (tied with CBS).

With 5.4 million viewers tuning in, UPN’s AMISH IN THE CITY beat ABC and The WB on the night among total viewers.

AMISH IN THE CITY scored UPN’s best Wednesday night delivery in almost three years adults 18-34 and total viewers (both best since 11/28/01). This marks the best Wednesday delivery for UPN among women 18-34, women 18-49 and female teens since the series premiere of STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE on 9/26/01. AMISH IN THE CITY also scored UPN’s best Wednesday ratings in more than 2 years among adults 18-49 (best since 5/8/02).

This also marks UPN’s best Wednesday night performance in the summer since 9/17/97 in adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and total viewers.

AMISH IN THE CITY saw its audience increase from hour-to-hour in persons 12-34 (+14%), adults 18-34 (19%), adults 18-49 (4%), females 12-34 (20%), women 18-34 (15%), women 18-49 (7%), males 12-34 (13%), men 18-34 (24%), men 18-49 (5%) and teens (17%).


Compared to UPN’s performance this summer on Wednesday (5/27/04-7/21/04), AMISH IN THE CITY delivered triple-digit improvement on the night in all key adult, male and female demos, including +340% among persons 12-34, +360% in adults 18-34, +317% in adults 18-49 and +238% in total viewers.

AMISH IN THE CITY also out performed UPN’s Wednesday night broadcast season average (9/22/03-5/26/04) in every single demographic, including +144% among persons 12-34, +156% in adults 18-34, +127% in adults 18-49, +97% in total viewers and every male and female demographic.

The premiere episode of AMISH IN THE CITY will be rebroadcast on Friday, July 30 (8:00-10:00PM, ET/PT).

AMISH IN THE CITY led UPN to a second place finish from 8:00-10:00PM on Wednesday night in adults 18-34 (2.2/8) and adults 18-49 (2.4/7), behind only FOX, according to Nielsen preliminary affiliate based ratings for July 28. With 5.2 million viewers tuning in, UPN’s AMISH IN THE CITY ranked third on the night among total viewers, beating NBC, ABC and The WB.

In the 8:00-9:00PM hour, AMISH IN THE CITY beat an original episode of NBC’s “Next Action Star” in adults 18-34 (2.0/7 v. 0.9/4), adults 18-49 (2.3/8 v. 1.4/5) and total viewers (5.2mil v. 3.7mil).

AMISH IN THE CITY scored UPN’s best Wednesday night delivery in more than two years in adults 18-34 (best since 5/15/02) and adults 18-49 and total viewers (both best since 5/22/02).

This also marks UPN’s best Wednesday night performance in the summer since 9/17/97 in adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and total viewers.

AMISH IN THE CITY saw its audience increase from hour-to-hour in adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and total viewers.

Compared to UPN’s performance this summer on Wednesday, AMISH IN THE CITY improved the night’s ratings by +340% in adults 18-34, +300% in adults 18-49 and +222% in total viewers.

AMISH IN THE CITY out performed UPN’s Wednesday night broadcast season average (9/22/03-5/26/04) by +120% in adults 18-34, +100% in adults 18-49 and +83% in total viewers.

AMISH IN THE CITY scored big in the big cities around the country, ranking first in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, Washington DC, Seattle, Phoenix, Cleveland, Sacramento, Portland OR, Indianapolis, Norfolk, Oklahoma City. In the weighted average of the 55 metered markets, UPN won the night with AMISH IN THE CITY.

UPN’s top-rated east coast market was WPSG in Philadelphia (5.7/9)

The premiere episode of AMISH IN THE CITY will be rebroadcast on Friday, July 30 (8:00-10:00PM, ET/PT).
